The CMS50E Fingertip Pulse Oximeter is an FDA-approved device for spot-checking blood oxygen saturation levels and pulse rate. The CMS50E’s padded finger chamber comfortably fits any finger size and delivers a swift reading. This portable device uses a rechargeable battery that provides up to 20 hours of power when fully charged. A single button located on the front of the oximeter controls all operations. This pulse oximeter was made for ease of use by physicians, nurses, patients, athletes, and pilots.

The CMS50E pulse oximeter uses a small but powerful measurement system. The device accurately measures oxygen saturation (Sp02) and pulse rate directly from any finger. This blood oxygen sensor detects low oxygen levels in the blood, even when the wearer is not actively interacting with the device. The oximeter does not require any external wires or probes when taking measurements.

This oximeter’s compact and lightweight design makes it ideal for travel or storage in a small space. Detailed SpO2 and pulse rate measurement information displays on the bright, multicolored screen with sharp text and images. Measurements update on the device’s screen as a numeric value, bar graph, and waveform animation. These data visualizations present a model of the wearer’s blood oxygen levels and pulse rate for helping the user understand the results. Screen brightness is adjustable to allow for use in a wide variety of lighting conditions.

 

Features

Auditory and visual alarms in the device alert the user when oxygen levels in the blood go outside the user’s upper/lower range. Additional alarm types include low voltage level alerts or improper device placement. The optional pulse sound setting indicates the wearer’s current pulse rate.

Unlike most finger oxygen sensors, the CMS50E features a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The built-in battery is rechargeable via USB or by plugging the device into the included power adapter. A battery icon indicator provides a charge status level for the device’s rechargeable battery.

The CMS50E can store up to 24 hours worth of information data history. This oxygen monitor integrates with the included software to transfer data to a computer. With this software, users can export their data to save or share results with a medical professional or physician. The CMS50E includes a data transfer cable for connecting the pulse oximeter to your computer.

So far, so good

I've only had this a few days, but very happy so far. I haven't tried the download to the computer and print-out function yet.

Interesting

I received my product in great condition but figuring out how to work parts of it were hard. Initially i thought one was broken as the alarm would sound continuously. Still trying them out.

Hard to get Data off of the unit.

Machine works OK, but trying to understand how to get the data off of it, and onto my computer is very confusing. Downloaded the software but it will still not read the unit . This is why I bought the unit to check readings overnight.

Pulse Oximeter

This meter needs to be charged all of the time as it does not need batteries. It took some time before I figured this out. I try to go off my big oxygen generator at least one hour per day. Sometimes I manage 4 hours. I really perfer the other meter I had before I ordered this one.

I am weaning myself off of oxygen. I needed the alarm to let me know when my levels dropped to 87. It works as needed.
